Configuration

• MediaWiki Config settings Configuration settings list
• Changes made:
• Uploads true, added images folder and made 777,
• Added pdf and ppt to upload types - $wgFileExtensions[] = 'pdf' etc
• Extensions

Added User merge and delete http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:User_Merge_and_Delete

Administration

• Editing Side bar on the wiki you need to use Special Page MediaWiki:Sidebar, in case of Pharmapeadia.info it is Pharmapaedia Sidebar
• Generating new templates

First one has to create a template. Template is created in the same way as any other wiki page. Syntax is [[Template:Name]]. Upload template on the Special page on | Pharmapeadia.info. This automatically adds template to the drop down menu at the top of empty pages.
